Well, it's that time of year. NATIONAL TOURNAMENT TIME! Once again, the Mad City Badgers have been invited to the National Tournament in Denver Colorado, and we leave April 4th and stay out there until the 9th or 10th, depending on if we play for the championship :)

We ended up being seeded #14 in the country in our division, but that's ok, we like being the underdog.

Again, to everyone who supported us this year; from the schools to the local businesses, Access to Independence and the United Way, we want to give you our warmest "THANK

Well, we are well in to the 2009-2010 season, and we are doing GREAT! Our bench has matured, our starters are setting the pace, and the coaches have done a tremendous job!
We have attended 4 tournaments so far, and have placed in 3 of them. In the one we did not place in, we played at varsity A level (which is the top!). We lost our games at that level, but it was a great experience, and by no means were we "blown out" (we held our own).
Next stop is our conference tournament in South Dakota! Wish us luck! :)

The coaches would like to welcome back all of you to our new season.  Thus far we have been very busy.  Practices have been intense and we are getting in shape.  Everyone seems to have learned a lot over the summer at camps and it shows.  Thanks to all of you for your hard work during the off season.  Keep it up!  We are about to start our plays for the Minnesota tournament that is coming up fast.  We are all looking forward to a fun season and hope you are as well.

Lydia Sprain, one of our stars on the Mad City Badgers, has played her last game wearing Red. Lydia is a graduating senior this year. Not only that, she is a graduating senior whom has signed a letter of intent to attend Whitewater College in the fall of 2009! CONGRATS Lydia! We all love you very much and wish you the greatest success in the next chapter of your life. Keep in touch and keep on cheering for us! We will DEFINITELY be cheering for you :)

Well everyone, we are back from our trip to Denver for the National Tournament. We all had a great time. both on and off the court. We ended up taking 12th in the nation. Not bad, seeing that there are hundred's :)
We were off a little during the first game. We tried to blame the travel and the altitude, but the fact of the matter is, we just did not have the "Badger Fire" to win that game. We won 2 other games (one was a nail-biter!) and lost another to a very good team. All-in-all, we are pretty pleased with our season. Thank you everyone once again, for supporting the Mad City Badgers this year, and we hope to see you again next season!

Thank you to everyone who donated their time and donations in this years Hoop-a-Palooza! With all of our efforts, the Mad City Badgers raised almost $2000.00! The players arms the next day were about to drop off, as they really took A LOT of shots at the basket. But, it was all for a great cause. 

Donations were made for baskets made, and I believe to grand total of baskets this year between everyone, was almost 1000! And that is just baskets MADE, which gives you an idea of how many shots were taken :)

Recently, the Mad City Badgers have been putting on exhibitions at some of our players schools during half-time of the schools varsity basketball games. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and students of these schools, for their tremendous support and enthusiasm they have given. You were very gracious and generous hosts, and we all had a GREAT time! We are excited to share with you this great sport and team, and hope we have made some new fans! :)
